Heartbeat Highway is the fourth album released by Cannons, and their second album on Columbia Records following their breakout 2022 album Fever Dream. Unlike Fever Dream, which was written during the COVID-19 pandemic, Heartbeat Highway was written and produced while the band was touring across the United States, Japan, and Australia, which also inspired many of the songs. Speaking about the album, singer Michelle Joy describes it as “a soul stirring journey through the intricacies of love, desire, heartbreak and passion”.
