Tone Soul Evolution was the second album recorded by The Apples in Stereo, originally released in 1997. This is the first of four albums by the band that Yep Roc Records will be re-releasing on vinyl in late 2017 and early 2018. Of the album, A.V. Club wrote, Tone Soul Evolution offers up plenty of fine pop music, delivered in such a way that is plenty enjoyable. This record, being released by Yep Roc have been out of print for over 20 years and this is the first time they have been released exclusively on vinyl. The collection of reissues, beginning with Tone Soul Evolution, will showcase the band s diverse catalog of music - ranging from it's Beatles and Beach Boys-inspired psychedelic pop to it's more raw and reflective work of later years.
