ZOMBI, released in 1978, is actually the international
version of George A. Romero's DAWN OF THE DEAD,
edited by Dario and Claudio Argento. This movie features
an amazing soundtrack created by the legendary Italian
prog-rock band Goblin, with its iconic lineup of Simonetti,
Morante, Pignatelli, Marangolo, and Guarini. The music is
a perfect combination of sinister synths, rock guitar riffs,
and driving tribal percussion, blending electronic and
acoustical elements to create an unforgettable score. The
band brings out the suspense on-screen, adding to
Romero's action-packed set pieces. Interestingly, some of
these cues have been repurposed in other Italian
exploitation films, which is a testament to Goblin's
enduring influence among genre directors
