A Different Kind of Truth is Van Halen's 12th and final studio album and their first album with David Lee Roth since 1984. It is also their only studio album recorded without bassist Michael Anthony, who had played bass on all of the band's previous albums; Eddie Van Halen's son Wolfgang replaced Anthony for the album, making this his only studio album with the band. Seven of the 2012 album's 13 songs are musically reworked and lyrically rewritten songs that had been demoed in the late-1970s to early 1980s but never officially released. The album debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 and has been certified Gold. This Rocktober pressing is a 2LP set pressed on crystal clear vinyl.
